The Place D’Armes is small, with just 84 rooms spread out over the 8 renovated townhouses that make up this hotel. The entire facility was recently renovated and though the charm of the hotel remains, modern amenities were added, including wired or wireless internet service throughout the hotel. The guest rooms all feature reproduction furnishings that are elegant yet warm and guests can choose from Deluxe, Courtyard, or Interior Rooms. All lovingly appointed, some of the rooms provide excellent views of the city or of the hotel’s attractive grounds. They include either one king, one queen bed, or two double beds, the largest accommodating up to 4 visitors. Additional in-room amenities include hairdryers and coffee makers as well as daily delivery of USA Today and the local Times Picayune. All guest rooms are non-smoking.
Between the complex of townhouses is a beautiful, lush courtyard that includes plenty of trees and shrubbery, making it the perfect place for the hotel’s swimming pool. The home has grand double parlors, 18-foot ceilings, and a beautiful spiral staircase that is the ideal location for snapping some memorable wedding photos. steps from this hotel. In addition, it is close to St. Louis Cathedral, The
