Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana

A winner of both the AAA Four-Diamond Award and the Mobil Four-Stars Award, the Windsor Court Hotel is a mostly-suite luxury hotel that sits just a short distance from the French Quarter and close to many of New Orleans’ most popular attractions. Lauded for both its décor and its fine service, Windsor Court is pleasantly reminiscent of Olde England yet boasts plenty of modern amenities, the combination of which result in a memorable and comfortable visit.

Though most of the accommodations here are suites, there are indeed 56 guest rooms that are ideal for those who are more budget-minded. However, these guest rooms are far from ordinary. Quite sizeable at about 400 square-feet, the guest rooms at Windsor Court offer two double beds or a king bed, a small table with two chairs, large furnishings with lots of room for clothing and travel gear, a mini bar, and a large marble bath.

The suites at Windsor Court Hotel come in a variety of sizes. The Junior Suite is the smallest. It includes one king-sized bed, a large dressing area, and a sitting area separated by partition. The large bay window or balcony provides views of the Mississippi or of the town center. The 800 square-foot Full Suite has a bedroom and sitting room divided by French doors. There’s also a large dressing area, butler’s pantry, and much more. Some connect with guest rooms or other full suites for a two-bedroom option suitable for families or larger parties.

Club Level suites are found on the top four floors of the English-style Windsor Court Hotel and are among the most luxurious accommodations at this top-notch establishment. Floor plans are the same as all the other rooms and suites but boast many upgrades including top-of-the-line mattresses and linens, Bose stereos, and beautiful furnishings, and have among the best views of all the rooms at the hotel. Those who stay here are provided access to the Club Lounge, which features two outdoor terraces, a grand piano, large flat-screen TV, internet access, and a dedicated concierge. In addition, guests are treated to continental breakfast and an evening cocktail and hors d’oeuvres gathering.

Amenities at the Windsor Court Hotel include complimentary internet service, twice daily maid service, valet parking, full-service concierge, in-room safes, terrycloth robes and slippers, and an iron and ironing board in each room. Recreation includes a fitness center with a variety of equipment and an outdoor pool, open in season. Though there is not a spa at the hotel, in-suite massage services are available. This hotel is also pet-friendly and offers beds, pet treats, and drinking bowls for its four-legged guests.

For dining, the award-winning Grill Room offers an elegant and delicious buffet lunch during the weekdays and breakfast and dinner every day. The food is quite varied and includes succulent steaks and local seafood. Guests can also enjoy English-style afternoon tea in Le Salon every Thursday through Sunday at 2 and 4 pm. In addition, the Polo Club Lounge offers drinks, casual fare, and nightly live jazz.

The Windsor Court Hotel boasts many rooms that are suitable for business meetings or social events. Many include river views and are designed to be reminiscent of rooms found in English manor homes. The largest space can accommodate up to 400 guests banquet-style. A sales staff is on hand to assist with details.
