World of Wings (WOW) Restaurant in New Orleans

The World of Wings is a smaller chain of franchised buffalo wing restaurants that started out in New Orleans. It's got the standard sort of menu you'd expect from that kind of place: wings are the focus, with general American foods like burgers rounding it out.

I went to the Magazine Street location for lunch, and it was a pretty good meal. The service was great, got refills on my drink without asking, etc. I had the Honey BBQ wings and the Sweet and Sour Wings, which were both very good. The onion rings were kind of bland, no real taste to them, so I don't recommend getting them, but otherwise it was fine. It wasn't very crowded on a Saturday Afternoon, so you'll easily be able to get in, and they've got a number of TV's around if you want to watch a sports game of some kind. This is a good place to stop if you're going shopping down Magazine - there are a number of different specialty shops down there and this is kind of at the tail end of them. If a boyfriend / husband is being dragged along on a shopping trip, it's a good compromise place to eat.

How do I get to World of Wings?

There are two different locations in New Orleans, and the addresses are:

5961 Magazine St.

New Orleans, LA 70115

5359 Mounes St.

New Orleans, LA 70123

I've only been to the Magazine St. location, which is closer to downtown in the Uptown area. For the Magazine street location, I recommend turning at the Shell station across the street - go down the road at that intersection in the direction of the Shell (I think it's State Street). It's a residential area, and there are a ton of places to park if you go a few blocks. The other one is off closer to the suburbs near Metairie. They are a national franchise that started out in New Orleans and now has locations in a number of states. You can view their website here, which has a little more information on the restaurant.
